The park entrance and Studio 1 will be completely closed between April 2024 and early 2025. The top attractions will remain open during this period. Access will be reorganized. We detail everything you need to know.

The Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is about to undergo a period of major renovation works. As announced by Disneyland Paris, from October 2023 until the end of 2025, numerous upgrades are planned, including the complete closure of the park entrance and Studio 1 between April 2024 and Spring 2025. We take a look at what will change and what will remain accessible during this period.

Planned works and closures

Starting October 2023, major renovation works will begin inside the Walt Disney Studios Park. The goal? To modernize certain infrastructures and provide an even more immersive experience for visitors.

These upgrades will take place in several phases until the end of 2025. They will mainly impact the park entrance and the Studio 1 area. Renovations of the flooring in different zones are planned in particular, which will require the installation of barricades.

While the park entrance will start to be redeveloped as of October 2023, the complete closure of this area as well as the entire Studio 1 will only take effect from late April 2024. This closure will last until Spring 2025. During this period, access to certain shops and restaurants will be impossible. This includes in particular the restaurants En Coulisses and Hep Cat’s Corner, as well as the stores Les Légendes d’Hollywood and Hollywood Jewel Box.

Impact on attractions

Although the park entrance and Studio 1 will be closed for many months, it will still be possible to enjoy the flagship attractions of the Walt Disney Studios Park. The works will have no impact on iconic attractions like Crush’s Coaster, Cars Route 66 Road Trip or Ratatouille: The Adventure. These must-sees will remain accessible throughout the renovation period.

The only exception is the attraction Flying Carpets Over Agrabah, which will close its doors in January 2024 to be renovated.

Shows

On the shows front, nothing changes! You will still be able to admire successful shows like Mickey and the Magician, TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure and many more. Access to the various performance venues will not be affected by the works.

While changes in traffic flow within the park are expected, access to attractions and shows will remain possible. The entrance will be reorganized to allow visitors to easily reach the main areas. On site and via the mobile app, you will be able to find your way with updated maps and wait time information.

Restaurants and stores

Concerning dining options, all the park’s restaurants will remain operational, except for those located in Studio 1. Alternative quick service locations will be available. Advance booking is recommended for PYM Kitchen and Bistrot Chez Rémy, which are likely to be busier. On the shopping side, many stores will stay open in the rest of the park, as well as in Disneyland Park and Disney Village.

A renovated park experience

These extensive works are part of Disneyland Paris’ continuous efforts to provide visitors with an ever more immersive experience. By upgrading certain infrastructures, the goal is to prepare the park for the years ahead.

While this transition period may cause some inconvenience, it promises a renewed Walt Disney Studios Park where the magic will be in full swing! The favorite destination of Mickey fans is about to enter a new era.
