The famous Star Wars heroine, Ahsoka Tano, will soon make her entrance into one of the most iconic attractions at Disneyland Park in Paris: Star Tours – The Adventures Continue. This announcement was made official during a panel dedicated to updates at Disney parks at D23.
A Highly Anticipated Appearance by Fans
For over 15 years, Ahsoka has been one of the favorite characters of fans of the intergalactic saga initiated by George Lucas. As Anakin Skywalker’s apprentice, this charismatic Togruta quickly became a must-have, thanks to her appearances in the animated series The Clone Wars and Rebels.
With actress Rosario Dawson taking on the role of Ahsoka in the series The Mandalorian, then in her own spin-off series on Disney+, the popularity of the character has only grown. It was almost inevitable that Ahsoka would end up joining the Disney parks, to the delight of visitors.
Star Tours, an Intergalactic Adventure Since 1987
A pioneering attraction in the use of flight simulation, Star Tours has been transporting visitors to the Star Wars universe since 1987. Located in the Discoveryland land at Disneyland Paris, this dark ride takes passengers aboard a spacious shuttle piloted by the quirky droid C-3PO.
Several iconic planets from the saga are explored during a bumpy voyage across the galaxy. Along the way, passengers encounter many cult ships and characters: TIE fighters, imperial destroyers, stormtroopers, Darth Vader, and more. Immersive special effects like 3D or motion simulators could enhance the thrills.
New Adventures with Ahsoka in 2024
In 2024, brand new scenarios will debut in Star Tours, allowing visitors to travel alongside Ahsoka Tano. Although details have not yet been announced, this is further proof of the character’s growing popularity.
Even before her arrival at Disneyland Paris, Ahsoka had already made flesh-and-blood appearances in the other Star Wars park: Galaxy’s Edge in California. She was portrayed by Rosario Dawson, who lends her features to the famous Jedi in the live-action series.
