Disneyland Paris: Fire Reported at Theme Park
A fire broke out at Disneyland Paris on Friday, December 15th within the main theme park, in the Frontierland area.
A fire broke out in the main Disneyland Paris theme park this Friday, December 15th between 12PM and 2PM.
Fire at Cowboy Cookout Barbecue Restaurant
According to early witness accounts on social media, the fire started near the Cowboy Cookout Barbecue restaurant in Frontierland. The area is being gradually evacuated and closed to the public while emergency services respond to the fire. “Technical issues” are being cited by cast members to justify the closure. According to the Unsa Disneyland Paris union, theme park firefighters are responding with support from external stations.
Per latest information, the fire was quickly contained and the restaurant structure does not appear threatened. A large part of the area is expected to remain closed for the day. The Cowboy Cookout Barbeque itself will likely remain closed for a longer period for investigations and repairs. According to several witnesses, the fire started near the restaurant’s chimney, which serves barbecue dishes. Nearby Colonel Hathi’s Outpost has also been evacuated during the firefighting effort.
