All the awards won by Disney at the 2024 Annie Awards

At the 51st Annie Awards ceremony, The Walt Disney Company won 15 awards for various animated works. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and the series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur stood out in particular.

At the 51st Annie Awards ceremony, awards dedicated to animated cinema, which took place on February 17, 2024, Walt Disney Company won 15 awards for various works.

Spider-Man as the big winner

The big winner of the evening was Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse from Sony Pictures Animation studios and based on the Marvel license. The film won 7 awards including the best animated feature film. It is now a favorite for the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film next month.

Success for the series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur

On the Disney side, the series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur broadcast on Disney Channel stood out by winning 4 awards:

  • Best Character Design for Television
  • Best Directing for Television
  • Best Storyboarding for Television
  • Best Voice Acting for Television

Actress Diamond White was awarded for lending her voice to the main character of the series.

Disappointment for the film Elementary

On the other hand, big disappointment for the film Elementary from Pixar studios which left empty-handed despite its 6 nominations, including the best animated feature film.

Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars also awarded

Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3 and Star Wars: Visions were also honored. The former received the award for best character animation in live-action shots while the Star Wars animated series received two awards (best music and best directing for television).

Despite some disappointments, Disney still shone in different categories thanks to television animation and its Marvel licenses. The big winner Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse also confirms the current good form of Sony Pictures Animation studios.
